Double boot every time power on

See signature for PC specs. Saves room/effort lol.

 

Every time I turn on or restart my computer, it boots up to the splashscreen, then goes black, and ten seconds later goes back to the splash screen and then boots to Windows. I cannot enter the BIOS on the first splashscreen and all of my USB devices disconnect.

 

Everything works fine, but it's annoying and makes a boot/restart literally take double the time (about one minute, unacceptable with a boot SSD). I'd love to fix this if you have any ideas. Thanks!

 

EDIT: I assume this is a motherboard issue.

EDIT2: I've researched a little and people suggested enabling Wake on PCIe. I did this, but no change.

I have seen this before. I think it happens if you enable S.M.A.R.T test or memory test. Try disabling those, plus make sure Fast Boot is selected.

PS. the is another option for splash screen delay. set that to 0 seconds

Alright thanks, I'll check once I'm home. I know I have Fast Boot on. I'll check the tests though. Any idea which BIOS tab so I don't have to go through them all?  lol

I have splash screen/post delay at 0. The issue isn't that it takes a while to get to post, it's just that it posts and then restarts itself and then posts again and boots - that's why I'm so confused.

I have had this issue happen if your overclock is too high and the bios will try to find a stable setting. 

 

Try clearing cmos as well, that usually fixes a lot.

As far as I can tell my OC is rock solid - I've had it run AIDA 64 for nine hours two days in a row, 68C or so. This happened with my old CPU too though (had 6600k until two days ago).

 

I'll try clearing CMOS.

for smart go to advanced > pch config

for ram it should be under  Ai Tweaker > disable mch full check (mine is set to auto tho)
