Tell me how Very High is console quality

Tell me how for a single player, open world, slow-paced RPG 30fps is unplayable. The PC is not just a frame machine, it's a way of playing games according to your own preferences. If that's lower settings 60 fps, knock yourself out. If that's even lower settings 144 hz, sure. If that's 4K ultra 30 fps, why not. Let people make their own tradeoffs.

No,i consider it as useless since if you have a PC that is powerful you wan't 60fps constant,a GTX 480 can run max settings, that does not mean it can run max settings at decent frames

Lol if you want 60fps constant in any game get a 6700k, and sli titan xp.

I ave a 390 and the only game I cannot max out is GTA V at 1080p due to vram limits, but drop the setting a little and you can get 100+ fps easily.

35-45 fps " game it can't run on Max " LOL yo ustill consider that not playable. GTX 480 doesn't exist btw.

Was the gtx 480 just a conspiracy then?

Are you sure? What build you got.

My build has nothing to do with this but if you want to know it's an old one not able to play any of those games since i don't have time for that. Currently waiting for AMD Zen CPUs and Intel's Kaby Lake so i can build a new rig.

Don't be the #pcmasterrace guy that thinks that 59.9fps is unplayable, if that were true then why are there still games that have a 30fps lock.

Answering the question would imply that was ever a point I was making which is why I'm not bothering. Actually answer the points that I am making rather than continuing on your strawman.

No I wasn't. I said that PC doesn't only exist for console quality games but at high refresh rates. I said if someone whats to choose the same fps as a console but look dramatically better then they can. Don't twist my words.

i love how a simple question about a graphics card somehow spawned a full flame war.

anyway, some games, like Rise of the Tomb Raider, will use more then the 4GB VRAM the 970 has when you crank everything to ultra. That is one of the main reasons i got rid of my old 4Gb r9 290x and got a 980Ti with 6Gb instead.

so just crank everything to high and you should be looking at some stable framerates, and definitely playable games!

What? for my personal opinion i'm annoying? nice to see how good people on LTT are about personal opinions

Not when you take an opinion and tell people that you cant run games on Max just because it will be under 60 fps.

Now if you told him you can run it Max but at 40 fps that's fine.

Most people don't care about 60 and are happy with being able to play the game

depends entirely on the game you are playing.

But if you say so, it must be true.
