Ok so I have ordered an am3+ motherboard already (Asus Crosshair V formula) because I got it really cheap. But now I don't know what cpu I need... But my budget is 200$ for the cpu.

What I'm going to  do:

-Game

-Record in obs

-Encode videos

-Decode Videos

-Overclock

-Browse the web

-Maybe run a temporary server for some games

-Stream

-Light 3D animation and rendering

-Code a bit

so I am going to need a pretty strong And am3+ Cpu for 200$

but it is going to be Overclocked.

i have a 500w Psu (I have a non modular 700W Psu to if this can't handle it)

i have a r9 380x

8gb of 1333 ram

be quiet shadow rock 2 cooler

 a 1920 x 1080 screen and a 1600 x 900 screen

ill be recording in 1080p 30fps

main question will the cpu handle 1080p 30fps encoding in Obs studio

8xxx series are basicly same cpu's, but with diffrent clock speeds. Go with 8350 and oc it and hope you have good vrm, in that mobo.

Technically that's the same story for the 9000 series.

Anyways are there any model numbers for the Zen FX CPUs yet?

No, they bin the good silicon for the higher numbered models, the higher the number the better it will overclock.

Yours faithfully

But it's exactly the same cost as the fx8370 and doesn't the 8370 have more l1 cache?

Well if they are same price then go with 70, but they are so similiar that if theres any price diffrence, 50 is quite clear choice.

Nope, but i think they are doing somesort of renaming, becouse 10350 doesnt sound that good.

I don't think it is a great idea to have a CX running a FX  8350 and a R9 380x, and since I don't know what your cooler master PSU is, I'll assume it is pretty average aswell.

I would probably upgrade the PSU with an EVGA B2, G2, GS, GQ, Anything from Seasonic or XFX (Exlcuding the XT), Corsair RMi, RMx, HXi, HX, AX, AXi

So 500watts doesn't cut it?
