Hi there :)

As @another random person suggested, the AE code or other similar codes are usually error codes from your motherboard indicating that something isn't working properly and are designed to point you in the right direction to troubleshoot the issue. I would check the motherboard's manual and look for such codes or check the manufacturer's website for a KB article on this and ways to fix it.

Make sure all cables are properly plugged all the way on the right ports.

Another thing you could do is try running your system on its bare minimums on stock speeds (no GPU, single stick of memory, no storage drives, etc.) and see if it POSTSs and if you can get to the BIOS.

Post back if you have any questions!

Hello everyone, I have just put together my first pc and everything seems to be working except for two hiccups. My cooler fans, case fans and graphics card fans are starting up just fine but nothing pops up on my monitor screen and I get 2 letter in the top right of my mobo saying "AE", i'm assuming the "AE" is in regards to not having my Windows 10 installed which isn't a problem but I would assume that something would pop up on my monitor at least. My keyboard lights up when I plug it into the motherboard USB, the motherboard lights up and the start/Reset buttons are lit up, graphics card is lit up with fans running, there isn't a noise upon turning on my system.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
thanks in advance,
- Kris

p.s. if you need any pictures or anything don't be afraid to ask, im heading to bed right now but ill be home all day tomorrow to answer any questions or post any pictures!

The post code "AE" typically means that a PSU power plug isn't plugged in and is loose or there is a faulty component in the build. Try giving all power connectors a good, firm push to ensure that they are plugged in. if it still displays the same error code then, unfortunately, it probably is one of the components, which may be broken.

I suck a typing, preparw for typos.

Hello and thank you so much for the speedy replies, I had my windows 10 downloading on my flashdrive and gave it an attempt just now. The error changed from "AE" to "A0" which I am unsure what it means but I then changed my Displayport cord from my mobo port to my graphics card port and BOOM! I had a windows installation screen pop up! woohoo, I am unsure what "A0" means but according to the manual it means everything is working fine as is. If anyone has a different opinion on this based on experience please by all means tell me i'm wrong lol this is my first computer build and I do not understand everything yet >_<

Hey, I'm glad you've managed to get it going! Do post back if you encounter other problems or if you have other questions!

Contacting the manufacturer of the motherboard could give you enough info regarding those codes and if there's anything you should be worried about. :)

Cheers!
