CPU Mobo upgrade?

Hey guys, here is what i'm running at the mo, pretty basic i know.

OS
    Windows 10 Home 64-bit
CPU
    AMD Phenom II X4 955  
RAM
    8.00GB Single-Channel DDR3 @ 669MHz (9-9-9-24)
Motherboard
    GA-890GPA-UD3H (Socket M2)   
Graphics
    Philips 225B1 (1680x1050@60Hz)
    2048MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950 
Storage
    465GB Western Digital WDC 
    931GB Seagate 

Power supply

     500w 

Are there any suggestions for an immediate upgrade?

Where should i start?

Looking to use it for an online study computer and to also run arma 3 at medium to high at 60 fps.

Is this possible or am i way off with what i currently have.

Obviously want to try and keep costs down but i dont mind spending a bit extra if its going to last.

Also if i change out Mobo do i have to purchase a whole new OS?

Or is it best to just buy a whole new rig?

grab a core i3 or i5 when kaby lake comes out and no you don't need a new OS

And thats all i will need?

use PCpartpicker to check. for arm 3 a core i5 would be best. you will also need new memory and maybe a new cooler.

You have to check your current OS. If it's OEM, you'll need to get another.

Otherwise, I'd wait for Zen or Kaby Lake unless you want to upgrade now to a 6500 or higher, but I'd wait.
