Smart Watch usecase?

So.... I'm looking for a smartwatch ATM for my Note 4 (if somehow the Note 7 with the Gear Fit 2 available in my country i "might" get that instead) cause I want to try it out. But as I dont usually wear watch even when I have a few really good one (my father collect alot of those expensive watch and give me 1 when I graduated) since I found it kinda unnecessary and bothersome to wear when I'm at my laptop at work, so I want to ask:

1. Which smart watch would you suggest for me?
2. What kind of apps available for those?
3. What's your common use case for smart watch?

I have been using a Moto 360 for about a year now, and i have to say that i use it less everyday. Mostly i just use it now for notifications, so i know when i get a text. but i always just grab my phone right afterwarts anyway, because it's just a lot more handy to read texts on!

If i where you, i would search for a nice secondhand smartwatch, because IMO they are not worth the premium price you pay for them new.

I wouldnt even consider 1st hand I'm considering if it even worth it in the first place right now

I'm not too familiar with the current offerings, so I'm not really able to answer your first two questions. However, I can tell you what I find I use my smartwatch for (Moto 360 1st gen).

 

I primarily used it for checking if I need to respond to a text/email and managing my music (particularly when driving. Much safer to swipe on your wrist than pick up your phone or look for a button on the radio). Other than that, I didn't use it for much other than checking the time. I haven't worn it much since I got a small collection of older watches in my late grandfather's will, so I've been wearing those instead. I find I mostly wear it when I know I'm going to be listening to music for a lot of the day.
