android Help unlocking a damaged android phone

My oneplus one android based phone fell from PPE vest and the screen cracked. Unfortunately, I believe the LCD was damaged, because now the bottom half of the screen does not work, and I cannot unlock my phone. Also my phone somehow ended up in airplane mode, and so now I cannot even use google services. Effectively my "controller" the screen has broken and now I can not control my device. I was wondering is their a way to use my PC as a controller for my android device. I do not think I can side load any apps and as previously stated my phone is airplane mode so there is no way I can connect to it wirelessly. I know I am probably screwed and the only way to get in would be to "hack" the phone or get the LCD and screen replaced, but while I await a quote-if anyone has ideas to the solution I'd love to hear them.

if you have an OTG cable (lets you plug in usb devices like a mouse/ pendrives to the prone) you could use a mouse to unlock the phone. You wont be able to use it a permanent fix, but i works well enough for important stuff like data backup...
