Is the E3-PRO-GAMING-V5 compatible with an i7 6700K 4.0GHz Skylake CPU?

Hi,

 

Just want to know if the ASUS E3-PRO-GAMING-V5 will work with the Intel i7 6700K Skylake CPU

Yes. It's found on the official CPU support list.

However on the ASUS page it says it supportes XENON and celeron sooooo, will it support skylake? (I know they are the same socket but)

You'll need a Z170 motherboard if you want to overclock that i7 6700K.

Only Skylake uses the LGA1151 socket.

If you're not overclocking, get the i7 6700. Otherwise, getting the unlocked i7 6700K will essentially be a waste of money.

Well i was looking at the Z170 PRO GAMING or Z170 Deluxe form ASUS but this board is cheaper in Australia

If so I think you should get the Xeon 1230V5 and ASRock E3V5 Performance Gaming/OC board 

Since that Asrock mobo has an external BCLK generator, you can OC that Xeon while saving some money

Whichever is cheaper, which I'd presume is the PRO GAMING. I doubt you need the features that the DELUXE offers.

Yes, and this will probabley cause a huge debate but should i get GTX 1060 6GB or RX 480 8GB? Im leaning towards the RX 480 8GB
