so how come it not work for me

i am trying to add image from my gallery to a post but after adding a link to the image when i click the "post" button LTT comes up with an error 

"You are not allowed to use that image extension on this community.". 

Is this a limitation of my account or can it be fixed?

Whatever the extension is, you can use it, just save it as something else

What do you mean? so just rename "tape.jpg" to for example "hahahblele.jpg"?

Use the image button at the top of the post and if it has a correct extension the image will work. If you paste the BB code in there for example it would be incorrect.

I believe there's a maximum resolution that can be hot linked here. I had an issue trying to link a 3520x1200 image to the wallpaper thread. It should top out at 1600x1200 or so.

Use imgur if you want to host your images easily. It's simpler to use...
