Is there anything you can do to control this/slow it down? I just looked at my card after watching the R9 280x review and it looks like it's starting to happen on my board with my 7950...

Or you could take the ghetto approach I did. I'm supporting it with fishing wire to my top fan mount.

"penis extension" is Linus's way of addressing the plastic extenders some graphics cards have. Because it's a pride thing for the manufacturers its a decent comparison. Though out of context sounds really weird.

I'm still confused lol. I have a 7950 so it's just a big card in general..

You shouldn't have too much sag with that card..?   

 

The reason I kept the memory/vrm plate on my MSI 7950's is mostly to support the heavy Acceleros --  Not sagging too bad at all.

well you can get a fan girl too, but that won't do much for gpu droop...  but it can help with some other kinda droop... :D
