If it falls to 30 FPS that means you cant maintain 60FPS stable, so you need to lower your settings to make sure that 60FPS are the MINIMUM FPS you are getting.

VSync will do this on 60Hz monitor - either you get 60FPS-30FPS-15FPS.

It tries to make the frames equal or doubling/quadrupling them to eliminate tearing.

If you had 100Hz it would be either 100FPS-50FPS-25FPS.

You forgot 30-20-15 ;)

For 100hz it would be 50-33.3-25

Yes I am nitpicky xD

That's what V-Sync is supposed to do. It will only send a new frame to the monitor in sync with its refresh frequency. If it can't generate frames fast enough to send one every refresh cycle (60 frames per second), then it will send one every other refresh cycle instead (30 frames per second). As long as you can't maintain 60fps ingame, you'll dropto 30fps or lower.

V-Sync doesn't work in windowed applications.

Well thats was shit -.- After spending so much money on building a gaming to play 60 fps on games and then THIS happends *sigh*. I can play without vsync but then the games feels choppy even with high fps and rainbows six siege fps drops randomely. Sometimes i can get 80 + fps for an hour and suddenly it drop. Resetting the game help. So many issues with pc gaming.. TY for the help anyway.

What graphics card are you using?

XFX R9 380 2GB.

I believe AMD video cards have native driver support for Dynamic V-Sync(if not, there's a third party application that can enable it for AMD cards). Try using that instead of straight V-Sync.

U mean RadeonPro? Tried it. Didnt work for me. I still have to enable vsync in games. Enabling from radeon settings didnt work either.
