Aspire tc-605 upgrade advice?

I'm looking to upgrade my computer and would like to upgrade the CPU and RAM. I'm a little unsure what I can upgrade to with this motherboard. Can I choose any Intel LGA 1150 and DDR3? Or is there specific units you guys would suggest?

Current CPU: i5-4440
Current RAM: 8GB
Upgrade Budget: $500-700

Thanks!!

I should clarify, the computer is slow. So slow. I only use it for editing photos so I don't think a gpu will help... (gpu isn't used in the programs I use). I have uninstalled all non necessary programs, installed an SSD for the photo files, used Ccleaner and minimized any startup programs. But even then it's still very sluggish.

Maybe get 16gb of ram?

Yeah, I plan on doing that. Any DDR3 set will work?

theres every possibility it will have a proprietary power connector, so you wont be able to change psu without changing motherboard
