Im 100% sure its just a feature of Windows 10 snap, i mean i can move a window from one screen to the other, i just gotta move the cursor faster, its just a bit annoying not being able to tweak the snap feature

Here, try this.

So i just updated to Windows 10 from 7, so far it feels alright, but one thing is bugging me quite a lot. Not sure what its called, so im gonna call it sticky corners, basically when i drag a window from one monitor to the other, there is a few pixels at the top of my first monitor that stop the cursor, also unless you drag the window quickly it just snaps to the side instead of going to the other monitor.

Any way to fix that without disabling it all together? I mean i like being able to fill the screen with a window by just dragging it to the top.

Hope it makes sense :(

It's called windows snap or snap to edge or something close. I sure thought 7 had it to though?

Windows 7 had it yeah, but it felt a lot less snappy i guess, it would just snap to the top or bottom. Made a quick little video with my phone just to show it, dragging the window normally from monitor to monitor and it wants to stick to the side, you gotta drag it pretty damn fast for it to not do it, also in the end i show the cursor getting stuck in the top of the screen, gotta move it down a few pixels. I mean its small things, but small things that get kinda annoying :)

Maybe this will help? https://www.tekrevue.com/tip/how-to-disable-snap-assist-windows-10/

EDIT: one of the settings in that menu should turn it all the way off as well i think.

That's interesting. I wonder if there isn't something under the performance settings that causes that, because I'm not having those issues.

Try disabling: "Show window contents while dragging" under performance options in system properties and see if that helps.

Yeah tried that, it does work, but it also disables snap completely, none of the options below it seems to do much :)

That option sadly just removes content from the window when you drag it, still snaps onto the side when i move the window :) Im pretty sure its just related to the snap feature and its a big more "aggressive" than in Windows 7, if i disable snap it works just fine, but then i lose all snap options, like snapping a window to the top to fill out the screen, which is a nice feature. Would be nice to be able to configure it a bit.

Try arranging your monitors properly in control panel so that the tops are aligned.

As I'd said though, I'm not experiencing this issue, and I'm running Win 10. So it has to be an issue somewhere else.

Top image shows my monitors, which is the correct order atleast, bottom picture whows the snap options under system->multitasking. In Danish, but should be the same in English :) If i disable the top option in multitasking i can disable snap, but it just shuts it off altogether which is kinda bad. Guess i just have to live with it.

Its set up right yep, like i have always had it, guess it could be due to monitor size maybe? I mean my main monitor is 24" while the 2nd is 23".

If they are the exact same resolution they should align correctly.

If your cursor is getting stuck at the corner of one of the monitors then that means they aren't aligned correctly.

They are both 1080p, but they are also both alligned correctly, if i try any other setup it just makes it even worse. That is not a big issue tho, i mean i normally dont drag anything at the top of the monitors, the annoying part is the snapping to the sides, but from a bit of googling it seems like im not the only one annoyed by it :)

Another youtube video showing it, slow or medium mousespeed = snap to the side, fast movement, move to the other monitor :)
