I just found this while surfing the web. I am so EXCITED for this. Need for Speed is not what it used to be and is just corporate SH## now. Support this to get a little taste of what it used to be on a modern engine! :)

This project is a remake from fans of a classic  Need For Speed 3: Hot Pursuit, created by fans for fans. It is developed by an independent group of people, hardcore fans of racing games and the first parts of the NFS in particular. We have passed by many times all of the classic Need For Speed’s, on consoles and PC. Now we need something more.
For a start, we are planing to faithfully recreate all the tracks and cars of the third part. If there will be interest of fans – we have an idea to make a collection of all the tracks and cars from the first to the fourth part in the same project, in a modern engine, and it will be absolutely free.
All objects on the tracks are recreated in high-poly modern replicas of the originals. All textures are replaced with new, high-resolution, most similar to the original. We will fight for maximum recognition!

oh my god, i remember playing hot pursuit on ps1...

good all freakin days...

random thought: i remember getting chased by cops (driving the lambo diablo) and they are telling you to pull over (if you do they will arrest you), well i thought that i'd pull over for fun just to see what will happen. they drove past me and i lost them some how. must have been a glitch.
