I think it's actually not bad, although the CPU and the GPU could definitely use an upgrade.

I will most likely not respond to you in a thread unless you quote me.

Seems great, just do some tests to make sure it doesn't fuck up before you give it to your buddy.

It's good, might want to buy a better case that has cable management behind the motherboard tray. A new PSU wouldn't hurt either. Nice buy with $500 CAD. Make sure you wipe that HDD and check for viruses too.

Yeah, it might quite a bit more expensive, but the CPU is quite outdated. It is literally from Ivy Bridge.

It's actually Sandy Bridge-E. Since it's on a 2011 socket, with a BIOS update you can go as up as 4960X, a very good CPU.

First off, the CPU is from Sandy Bridge. That's 3 generations ago.

Oh sorry, you're correct. I had thought that is was from Ivy Bridge, mistakenly. Thanks!

Yes, I just realized I was incorrect. Thanks. He could upgrade to a 4960X, but that is $1,500 (USD) which is quite a lot.

Not disagreeing, they needs an upgrade. It was just funny because those would be the most expensive to replace lol

Not necessarily. I'd say that the GPU is actually the most expensive part of the computer.
