Thanks for the info friend. Apparently the d9 chips are only in the 1gb sticks and selected models or limited runs, hand picked for certain models. Also burn out quicker lol.. Intetesting! Im gonna pass on that set i found and maybe pick up a d9 1x4gb set if i come across it. My dominators are unfortunatly not d9's :)

The best D9s are found in 1GB dual-sided config (512mbit density) :)

Easiest way to find good D9 is crucial ballistix (inc tracer) ending in .16F IIRC.

I never new such a thing existed. Has anyone in the past had any experience will them before? They are 1000mhz ram sticks not the usual 1066mhz pc2-8500/xms2-8500 high end ddr2. Yes its old hardware.. but im curious as iv found a local set for cheap and might grab just to test if it can overclock to 1066.

I had some 1GB stuff based on Micron D9 GMH. It was better than any 1066 kit I tested although that's mostly pot luck.

So the pc 8000 chips are a completly different design to the 1066chips? Whats the micron d9 Gmh actualy mean? And how is the speed once overclocked compared?

nope. they're pretty much always the same just different bin and density, similar with ddr3.

D9 GMH was a kind of IC used in a lot of kits which was very popular with enthusiasts because it overclocked like mad. Mine ran 1333C5 all day.
