New 'work'/surf/shitpost build

Hello, guys and gals.

 

so, by the grace of god (read: my employer), I now have more disposable income available to me. Since I am not satisfied with my current shitpost-machine (an old, used, core-2-duo equipped Lenovo ThinkCenter), I want my first major investment to be a new build for just that purpose.

It's also as much as I am willing to spend. I really don't want to go any higher.

It will be used with 2 Monitors, one 1920x1080, and the other one 1680x1050.

OS will be Debian stable.

 

Any thoughts/criticisms?

Figured as much, but I haven't been able to find a cheaper Mini ITX mobo that does what I want. It's mainly about Video output, I like having DP, HDMI and DVI available to me, without installing a discrete GPU, even if it is a cheap 710 or something like that.

I've been using Debian with Cinnamon for quite a while, so yeah. I know my way around the OS.

Ok, It looks like a good build but if it was me I would go second hand to get better performance.

Have you considered a graphics card? The money you save on the board can go on the GPU

That's a LGA1150 board, the CPU needs a LGA1151 socket.

Actually, I should be able to make do with that board, without needing a discrete GPU quite yet. Maybe later, if I get around to buying a new monitor.

 

It just seems like a waste to not make use of the integrated graphics of the CPU. I am weird like that.

There is a DDR 3 version of the board, so it shouldn't be an issue.
