Hi all.

I am in two minds about which build I should go ahead and build, an mini itx or micro atx build. The desktop: will be used for gaming mainly, must have wifi (on-board or pci), support Samsung's 950 m.2 series, will be overclocked and support a 144hz monitor. I plan to do some strong overclocking on the CPU (4.5ghz min target) and possibly the GPU.

So I am asking for some advice on what you guys think. Both builds below are priced the same and the only thing bought at this point is the RAM.

Mini: i7 6700k, Asus Z170i pro gaming mobo, G skill trident z 16gb RAM, Noctua D15, Samsung 950 256gb + 500gb SSD, GTX 1070, Phanteks evolv ITX, 650 watt PSU

Micro: i5 6600k, Gigabyte GA Z170MX gaming 5 mobo, G skill trident z 16gb RAM, Corsair H105, Samsung 950 256gb + 500gb SSD, GTX 1070, Corsair air 240, 650 watt PSU, PCI wi fi card

Any feedback would be great.

Thanks!

I like the Corsair air 240 more than the Phanteks evolv (because cases, are everything... Style, is everything) but the Mini will pretty much demolish all of the games.

Build: CPU: i5 4690k; Mobo: msi Z97 PC Mate LGA 1150 GPU: Sapphire R9 270 Dual X Case: LSP ULTRA ETorque mid-tower ATX PSU: LSP ULTRA 650w SSD: Crucial BX200 240gb HDD: Western Digital Black 1tb RAM: EVGA SuperSC 16 gigs DDR3 (two 8 gig sticks)
