You can orient it two different ways. Shouldn't have an issue.

Anyone know if a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO on an Asus Z170-A motherboard covers any ram slots?

Buddy, I've seen that evo coexist in a rig with 4 Raiden series RAM inside, and those are the tallest RAM can get. No issues whatsoever.

Blue screens eh? Did you try setting it to Wumbo?

z170-A user here. Only low profile ram will fit with the regular evo install. As others pointed out, you can mount the fan in pull configuration as well
