Help with gaming PC build

Hello, I need some help with some of the parts for a Gaming PC build I am working on. I never really understood processors and motherboards well so I'm hoping I can get some advice to steer me in the right direction.

Budget : $1200 CAD

What is it for : Primarily gaming with some game engine work as I am a programming student. Looking to play games such as Battlefield 1, Overwatch, Witcher 3 etc.

Monitors: I have one monitor currently and I am looking to pick up a second monitor in the future

Peripherals: I currently have a Logitech G710+ keyboard as well as a Logitech G502 Proteus Core mouse, as well as some speakers for the system already

Why the upgrade : My current pc is just barely scraping by for minimum requirements for my program and in order to get it up to speed I would have to replace the entire system as most of the parts are heavily outdated.

This is my current parts list as I already have two 1TB HDDs in my current system that I will re-purpose for the new one. Any advice on parts is appreciated!

get a skylake cpu/mobo instead, shouldn't cost much more. v300 is crap, get a different ssd. don't get a gtx 970, either get an rx 480, r9 390 or gtx 1060 instead. cx750 isn't good, get a different psu. also, are you gonna oc?

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Heatsink: Gelid Phantom Black GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual RAM: Corsair DDR4 2x8GB 3000Mhz mobo: Asus X570-P case: Fractal Design Define C PSU: Superflower Leadex Gold 650W

The v300s are great... And the cx 750 is good for budget, but not power efficient...

no. they did a bait and switch. the review samples are fine but the retail ones are piss poor. the cx 750's capacitators are mediocre, cheapy chinese/taiwan capacitators and they only have an ambient temp tolerance of 30C.
