Posted July 23, 2016 Many people here build new rigs, often, so where/how do you usually get windows? Link to comment https://linustechtips.com/topic/631360-getting-windows/ Share on other sites

Posted July 23, 2016 OEM is cheaper than retail, and you don't need all the paperwork anyway. It's just a disc with a key and works perfectly. (As long as you aren't buying some re-sold HP one or whatever) I'm against pirating so I seem to be the only one here actually suggesting you spend money. I edit my posts a lot. My question: is the OEM I'm being sold a real copy or a pirated key, and where to get a legit one? I see people online saying their oem keys deactivated in 4 months. On Amazon the cheap (20$) OEM sellers are all "new" and the item is online just 2 months (I guess they change fast). Usually OEM is like $20 less than retail so look out for that. Also TPB is an arrcronym I edit my posts a lot.
