Just some ideas off the top of my head to check:

  • Battery dead? Plug it in, see if it turns on with just mains power
  • Overheating maybe?
  • Dead components somewhere

What was he doing when it went off?

Well, no, we can't. The information you have provided is very minimal, so we are forced to provide minimal troubleshooting advice. If you could send us images of what you see on the screen, the world would be a happier place. Understand?

My native language is C++

well @Mattch23 did give you "real" answers. You haven't given us enough information to help you.

Can you get into the bios to see if the HD is detected, a very real chance the drive has gone. Could also be faulty battery and/or fault mains power and to repeat Mattch23 again. What was your friend doing when it turned off?

then you'll need to get more information. You will need access to the laptop and try getting into the BIOS. It will give you a lot of information like whether hard drives are detected, ram and what not.

To me it sounds like a Drive failure.

Whats the error code shown on that image? Can't really see it properly 0x000????

Under either Main or System Config it should show somewhere what devices are being detected, check to see if the hard drive is being shown

Whatever one he has, usually it'll be listed under something like "Hard Drives / HDD or SATA" the name is usually something really long a silly like WD-*random here*

I'd say that the drive is still being detected fine if its booting up onto the recovery screen of Windows.  If you could tell us that entire error code that it showed it may point to what the issue is

Sounds like the OS is corrupt, you'll need to use a Win 8 / 8.1 (whatever OS it is) disk or USB to run a repair / recovery

I wouldn't of thought it would make a difference if you've already tried disk.   It could likely be that the hard drive has failed enough that Windows won't boot, but not enough for it to be undetectable.  Is the laptop still under warranty?
