Troubleshooting and configuring random game controller.

So a good few years ago my parents picked up another PS3 controller for me, it was by a random make and all it says on it is that it's a Bigben interactive. Supposidly from what it says the little USB stick that comes with it has 2 modes, PC and PS3, When plugged into the PS3 it's fine of course, when set to PC mode on my current desktop windows picks it up as a joystick, when calibrating it everything is picked up but you get the picture, it's an actual gamepad pretty much a PS3 one, but windows is detecting it as joystick and therefor will not allow me to use the right analog stick to move up and down within games, I've tested this under garrysmod, everything else works fine apart from that second analog stick. Halp?

The most information I can give you is what was in the post. "Bigben interactive", the usb stick has a switch on it as I also said for both modes, it's pretty much plug and play.
