Your question makes absolutly no sense.

Logic only works within it's own system (hello, Ayn Rand) and is therefor only applicable to logical constructs.

Therefor, if a conclusion is made from a logical fallacy it will always be incorrect.

And if logic is looked at from a Wittgensteinian perspective, your question is illogical.

Why do I get the feeling you're talking about following a certain religion in the off chance that their interpretation of the afterlife is correct? Am I close?

Can you please elaborate a bit more. I do not understand what you are asking.

That's not true. You can use a logical fallacy and still be correct. It just means that your way of justifying your position, or arriving at your conclusion was not logically sound. You were not right for the same reasons you thought.

Hmm, I guess your right.

Although, I wasn't really refereing to whether or not you were factually correct, since that's a seperate question.

I was refreing to whether or not your argumentation was logically sound.

Indeed, you can come to a proper/correct/factual conclusion, but through incorrect means.

You might come to the right conclusion but not understand how you got there. Or you might think it was because some one reason, when in fact it was a totally different reason.

I think the OP is asking:

Quote

Is it logically fallacious if an action is taken on the grounds that it could be the correct action to take?

I'm not an expert in logic, but I don't think this is in the form of a logical argument, so it can't be a fallacy. It doesn't make sense, regardless.

No it won't.

"Prime has 5 letters, so 5 is prime. "

The conclusion is correct, the logical scheme isn't correct at all :)

Read a bit further up.

I realize I made a mistake in my wording.
