Google site ranking help

So my website is indexed and has been successfully crawled by google but my site is on page 10. Squarespace shows like 17 hits from google and webmaster tools shows no malware and and i have already tagged the site with important info so what am i doing wrong?

Google searches rank results by popularity so that's probably why.

If it is a new domain i believe Google down ranks it in search ratings for the first several months if i remember rightly. But you should check that you have put in meta tags and properly implemented SEO.

who cares if your site isnt the first thing that pops up in a google result. if its anything like my site, it couldnt handle a large volume of traffic simply because it is a personal site and the server its on is not super. 

 

I agree with every one else, learning about SEO is going to probably answer all and some more questions you have.
