I'm in the need of a gaming laptop. I'm not afraid of the big pricetags and want to get the best of the best. It has to have atleast a 15 inch display, other than everything is acceptable. I want to be able to play all games on Ultra settings.

What are some recommendations?

To run games on Ultra you'd want at least a HD7950M or GTX670M and even they will be stretched, especially if the laptop has a 1080p display, which most high end gaming laptops do. Google for laptops that have HD7950M, GTX670M, HD7970M or GTX680M. If you really want best of the best just look for laptops with either HD7970M or GTX680M (the latter probably being better). There's not a huge range at this price point, shouldn't be too hard to narrow it down.

What about budget?

MSI has really good gaming laptops, like these ones below:

I'd recommend getting an MSI laptop because for laptop gaming, you need the horses in the GPU more than the CPU, so if you're on a budget, try looking into an i5 with a 670/680m.

Sager np9370. Xfire 7970 for $2200. SLI 680m for $2600. Sager np9150 for single GPU both under 2k. Real minimalist, nothing big, fancy or shiny, You dont pay the brand price tag either. Backlit keyboard, usb 3.0 ports, hdmi, display port, 2 drive bays (optional third if no disc drive), msata, easily upgradeable, nice Onkyo speakers so better than most laptops, intel I7.

I got a sager np9370 i7-3630qm, 680m, 8gb 1600Mhz ram, 750gb HDD+240gb msata ssd, blu-ray player, bigfoot wireless 1105 for 2.2k before taxes. The 680m is VERY overclockable thats why i spend the extra money and went with that over 2 7970's. Here are a few benchmarks. my GPU is overclocked 45% in these.
