Hello LTT Community, I'm here with yet another problem that needs your help!

I recently chose all my parts for my first build and I've ordered a 256GB Samsung 950 PRO M.2 SSD with a 4TB WD Black HDD, obviously to run a boot SSD and a storage HDD; however, the task has proved more complex than once thought. I've been watching a few videos and read a few threads so I have a loose grasp on the subject, but I need a clear step by step procedure. I haven't yet built the system yet, so everything is going to be brand new and clean; so when starting up should I do the following:

1. Only use the SSD and not have the HDD plugged in

2. Finish up the BOIS stuff with the SSD being #1 priority

3. Install win 10 to SSD

3. Connect the HDD after finishing up with SSD config?

4. Allocate what goes where in other applications like Steam and Adobe PS/AE?

I mainly want this configuration for quick startup for OS, Adobe apps, and a few frequently played games; then an HDD for the rest of my games, pictures, ect.

I know I have to make separate folders and whatnot, but I would still like a start-to-finish list of directions to study on before I get too deep into this whole thing.

Thanks in advance. I've been having a great experience with this forum website, many great people here! :D

1) install M.2

2) Install Windows on your M.2

3) power off and install your HDD

4) power on, go to disk management and format your HDD

5) If you want to change the location of your documents/pictures etc you can right click the folders and go to the "location tab" and move it to your HDD
