Complete Noob Needing Help

Hey. I just started this account so forgive me if I'm not using this correctly, but I'm a complete noob. I know almost nothing about building computers, and I can list the things I do know on my hands. I know where to buy parts, but I don't know exactly where to find specs, or the names of the parts I need. I don't know where to check compatibility between parts. I know not to build on carpet. That all I know. It's pretty sad, but I know more about how to work a computer than to do it myself. If anybody can tell me the parts I need and then ad short descriptions so I know what everything is for and where I can find them and can recommend some good cheap parts. To give you an example of what I'm trying to build, I need a computer that can animate in Blender fairly quickly. Lets say a short animation should be rendered in 5 hours or less, my current one takes over 24 hours. And it should run a game like Over Watch or Bloodbourne smoothly. My budget is $700, but I can go a little higher. Keep in mind that 700 is for a pc and a monitor, but nothing else. Any tips, tutorial videos with slow talking, or anything that can make me less of a complete noob?

Edit: I'm buying 3 monitors, but the $700, will only buy them later. I'm just buying parts and one monitor with $700.

Welcome, I will help you with your build, but can you use your original monitor for a bit longer, the extra $100 or so can make a much better build

Sure, but I don't have a monitor that can be used with todays PCs. My monitors are really old and don't even have an HDMI.

Here is a possible build that you could do: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/QGDV6X

Now I don't know if you have a copy of windows so that is in the list of parts if you do you can knock off $85 to the price.

Next, if you're having a hard time finding parts you can go to a website call https://pcpartpicker.com it shows prices and compatibility of the items you have selected.

As for manufacturers most of the time, they will make things that are acceptable but any one of then can make a dud. Just be cautious and read user reviews before buying.

For retailers, I would stick around the most popular unless you know the other retailers to be reliable.

Again welcome to the forums and I hope you find the help you need.

Thanks you @Wizteal. It falls perfectly in budget. The only thing that I don't need on that list is the monitor, I've already planned the one I'm buying. I will definitely use that. So all the hardware and stuff (omg i'm such a noob) would be able to run Blender quickly and hardcore games well?

That should run Blender and play games at 1080p high settings quality to a moderate degree. keep in mind though that this is a budget build and it will not be able to handle more demanding titles (i.e. crises, ark survival) as wells as a high budget pc would (around a $1000).

If I were you I would do a few things: 1. (optional) Wait for the new line of AMD processors to come out with the new zen architecture which would help a lot in the rendering department but I don't know when those are coming out. 2. Upgrade the amount of RAM that I had in the build to 16Gigs that would make the rendering much easier. 3.(optional) get yourself and SSD(solid state drive) and put your OS and most played games on it. It will make your experience much smoother.

Other than that you can expect most games to run at 60fps with medium to high settings. And depending on the quality of your export in Blender it might take a while but it can definitely run it with ease.

I don't know what some of those things are. I don't know how to find when that will release. But I can upgrade RAM (I think. What is that to be honest) and how would I find an SSD and put that in? You can just show me articles or videos for noobs if you want because I'll have lots of questions.
