So I want to build a small ITX PC as a secondary PC to replace my ageing Alienware X51 desktop that I had since before I started building computers that currently sits as my spare PC on the desk on the other side of the room from my main PC The Tank (build part list in signature). The budget for the part list is $600 USD and I want it to be something that is small and slim and since it's going to be a PC I'm going to use at LAN partys I would also like some LEDs to go along with it wherever possible. I also am going to set aside a separate budget for the peripherals around $150 for the peripherals so if you can include a keyboard, mouse, and a monitor into it too that would be great since I'm currently only using my old peripherals which are pretty worn out and a 720p 40inch TV as a monitor for my spare PC.

Thanks for the suggested partlists the old ITX machine I have which is my old Alienware X51 from 2013 has a core i3 3220 so even the skylake i3s are a upgrade for me and a actual proper case with a proper non proprietary PSU is the big upgrade I'm looking for and even though I do love SSD's I think for this build I might just go for a regular 1tb 2.5 inch drive since it's not going to be my daily PC and it's only going to be for me to use during LAN partys, and for when my main desktop is busy rendering a video, and it also might see use for a friend to play on when they come over

That's probably why we both added a 240GB SSD only as it's a LAN/secondary PC where mass storage isn't that's important :D (SSD over space in this situation no?)

Plus if you don't mind going over budget slightly, you could get a rx480 4GB or a used 970/290x/390(x) :)
