Help me Build my first rig

Hi there. i am thinking of building my first mid range gaming pc. Clearly i am a newbie here, it would be great if you could help.

my specs : cabinet - Coolermaster K380

processor- Intel core i5 6400 2.7 Ghz

motherboard- Asus z170 pro gaming 

gpu- Nvidia Geforce gtx 1060 or amd rx 480 

psu- corsair sreies cx750

ssd- samsung 750 evo 120 GB

hddd- WD1TB 

Cpu cooler-Cooler Master Hyper 103 Essential CPU Air cooler 

 

Suggest me are there better alternative components for this build and I am completely confused about which ram module should i use (ddr4 or ddr3, Dual channel or quad channel). also is the motherboard apt for this build. Tks

get 6500 insted and 212 evo insted of that cooler. 103 is stock cooler 2.0

and ddr4 is ram you need with that mobo

The z170 board is if you want to overclock, do you plan to overclock in future? if you do, the z170 pro gaming is a great MOBO ogt one myself

Dzal chanel DDR4 is enough.

 

Can you get i5 6500 or 6600k in your budget?

I mean you are buying Z170 motherboard for overclocking, together with locked chip.

 

Don't do same mistake as I did. I still regret not buying K version with my Z97 motherboard.

So frindly suggestion: get i6 6600k

Also if you are going with either 1060 or 480 a 750w is to much. Both require at least 550w.
