I have just updated to the beta nvidia driver 331.40 and i have lost all signs of aero.

Is there a fix to get it back?

Easy fix, don't use beta drivers.

I need them for the BF4 beta

Even easier fix, either live with it until non-beta or don't play BF4

Beta drivers are unstable and their downsides always outweigh any potential gains, it's best not to use them but the choice is yours. I believe Nv says something about this in their T&C on Beta drivers.

It might just be plain bad luck, I'm running the beta drivers right now and have had no issue, that being said I haven't played BF4 since i updated just because of the rubber-banding and unbearable lag once you get over the 150 ping mark.

I am using this same beta driver and at first i had some issues but then i did a re-install of the same driver and chose custom install and then clean install. I have had no problems since other than BF4 trying to use all of my GPUs resources. Try re-installing it with clean install.

There should be no need for you to use the beta drivers...

Unless of course you like testing beta software.
