I'm looking at about a ~40 dollar price difference, so, the 960

Nether, the RX 480 is a better value for that budget.

I would say the 960 the 950 in my opinion is just not a good bang for your buck although alot of people would say different

Neither of those are worth it with new GTX1000 and RX400 series here.

The RX-480 is more than AU$300, and I believe that the GTX 1060 will also be more than that. You've got two options:

• GTX 960
• Push your budget a little higher, to reach the RX 480 / GTX 1060

Don't buy a 960 when you could save up a little bit and have twice the performance with a RX 480. You're less than the cost of a game away.

Also a small note: The RX 480 and GTX 1060 are slightly above your budget, but their performance is leagues ahead of the GTX 960! Just push your budget higher as they offer an excellent value for your money!

I've been on this forum awhile and not one person has ever said they stick to Nvidia because of PHYSX  

 

the 1060 is going to launch at 300us with the FE edition. It's going to be weeks of not over a month before we see 1060s near the 250us MSRP.

 

Please consider the RX 480, there is no advantage at all in the 960 over the RX 480. None. And moving forward the RX 480 will extend its lead over the 960.

for that kind of budget i think you should look for a used GPU...i would try to find a GTX 780/780ti or R9 290/290X/390/ or even HD7970, R9 280X all those GPU's are faster than GTX 960.

Also look at pricing on R9 380/380X

Depends on your budget. And we don't know how the 1060 will stack up until the NDA is lifted on the 19th. 

 

But the 480 is cheaper. And the aftermarket cards should be hitting soon.
