Hi there!

I just build a new pc, but when i moved the gpu over from my old build, something weird happend.

When i play overwatch for example, the game runs sortof fine for 1 min, then the fps starts to drop and drop, until my pc freezes. I installed MSI afterburner and it seems like the card

does not draw power at a stable rate. Its shifting all the time.  In my old build, the gpu works just fine, wich is the weird thing.

Im using a MSI Z170A Gaming M5, a Corsair RM750i and my GPU is the Gtx 670 MSI with reference cooler.

I already got a new PSU from Corsair and this didnt help anything. If anyone can help me out, your the man, cause i dont know what i can do anymore.

Is the card seated in the slot properly? Is the power connector seated properly? Is it throttling?

Thanks :D Yes its in the right slot, power and everything is fine. Its now the temps eighter, its just the power draw thats shaking from begin to end. :\

Try a different PCIe cable and/or try a different slot.

Hmmmmm, I really have no clue

If you have another gpu, I would drop that in and test that one.

My friend is comming over with an 980ti, gonna test that one. Say that it does the same thing to his card, could it be the motherboard?

Check for CPU overheating if you are using a stock cooler

Friends Gpu seemed to work fine, played a whole game of overwatch without fps drops.

Problem is that the error still lies somewhere in the motherboard or something, and maybe it damages future cards.

One last thing to try, can you put your GPU in your friends build and see if the problem occurs on his/her machine?

If your GPU works fine in your friends machine, then all fingers point to motherboard. If it doesn't work fine in his build, well then it's obvious that it's the GPU itself.

My friend doesnt want to try that because he had some big problems installing his drivers or something, but i might be able to find another pc where i could try this. But this must wait until tuesday.

I also took a pic where the GPU voltage is showed, can anyone tell me if this is okay (also gpu usage).  The 0 power % is when it freezed.
