Name Some Useful PC Paraphernalia?

Just a thought, Name some items you've found useful both inside and out of your PC. Random Items that may not be in everyone's rig that came in handy, whether practically or aethetically. Maybe like this sound dampening foam I got, or a handy way to manage cables, maybe a new side panel mod?

It's not really used for the build but more to maintain it. A lot of people use a can of compressed air which cost around $14 AUD where I live. Instead, I use a paint brush and a hairdryer to remove dust. It works great and it hasn't damaged anything.

8 tubes of TIM. for some reason a lot of peeps say they can't remount the cooler because they do not have TIM paste..

have at least a half tube, if not, order some..

i always have weatherstrip adhesive removed for TIM removal and arend TIM fingerprints. lighter fluid works fabulously (depends on surface).

i do use a gutted hair dryer (no heating element) and paint brush.

vast amounts of 6-32 mobo/PSU screws

an openSUSE text only, bootable usb drive.

lets see...

- an industrial fan filter. they're dirt cheap, cut up into pieces easily, and are very good at filtering :P

- electrical tape

- ducktape

- painters tape

- vareous double sided tapes

- tools. even if they're cheap garbage, keep some vareous tools around.

- alcohol. (not the drinkable kind)

- aluminium tape (this one's something i encountered recently, its a HUGE help when troubleshooting and "temporary" solving interference)

- lots of wire scraps

- anti vibration rubber

- hot glue

 

that should be about it, aside from the really excentric stuff :P

I prefer velcro straps and twist ties, but zip ties are definitely necessary.
