If an Intel fanboy doesn't ninja me, they'd probably blame it on it having an FX 6300.

Is there any overclock being applied to the CPU or GPU?

Can you open up task manager or MSI Afterburner to see what happens before, during, and after crashes?

Post screenshots (cut the windows out) if you can.

70 to 90% cpu usage 6300 is warm but he only has stock heatsink the 950 temp is 24degrees then back to 10 degrees usage is %54 about right using 1gb of vram ram usage spikes one then to the bottom 1 stick or ram is taking all usage for the game gta freezes when running afterburner at the sametime

I would try a stress test with Prime or Aida to see what temps he gets at full load. If he's hitting 100% with good temps it's probably not thermal throttling, in which case I would see if anyone from the AMD camp knows if it's... Wait, what GTA? If it's V, then you probably have a bottleneck as GTA V has a lot of AI that must be handled by the CPU.

I turned down population density/variety to none no distance scaling either no aa everything is at low

How old is the OS? Is there any chance of backing up the files he needs and clean installing?

And the game is GTA V? I would definitely seek out someone who has more experience with AMD CPU's since I would say it'd be a bottleneck.

Is there any chance that this is a bottlenecking situation. I don't think it is but I haven't used AMD since the Athlon was unveiled.

Yeah idk. Eh I'm mostly on AMD laptops. I'm not really sure about their desktop stuff though.

6300 runs gtav just fine, atleast it does for my brother. It could be thermal throttling tough in either cpu itself or parts in mobo. can you download hwmonitor and msi kombustor. After that use kombustors cpu test and check the temps and clock speeds for the cpu tru hwmonitor and take printscreen after its been running for little while

''Daddy CumTits 2.0'' (pc):

CPU - Intel i7 8700k

GPU - Asus Strix 1080 8gb

RAM - 2x8gb Corsair Vengance

MOBO - Asus Prime Z370-p

PSU - Corsair RM750x
