solution to 4k monitor scaling issues?

ive got an idea, just i dont know if it is going to work like i imagine. can i plug in 2 monitors of different resolutions (new with 4k and and the old one with 1080p) and use them as extended monitors at the same time? so when i come to a page, program that isnt optimized for 4k i simply drag it to the 1080p and i get the best of both worlds

Yeah, you can do different resolutions with extended monitor setups.
