I had this really annoying rattling sound from my pump/CPU block, which appeared just shortly after I started using the PC.

After testing every fan, checking every screw, re-assembling the pump and applying washers between the rad and the case to prevent vibration and nothing made a difference, I just sat down and started messing with the lights while thinking about if I should RMA it.

While adjusting the lights I turned off "cycling" the noise suddenly stopped!

So my tips to you out there with a H100i who cant figure out what is making that fu¤*¤ng noise, try turning the LED on the unit to one set color. Hope it helps :D

Interesting. I wonder what lights have to do with it making a noise though. Seems odd.

i wonder if while "cycling" the minuscule voltage changes need are messing with the pump - taking away from it maybe?

Same thing happens for me. On static colours its fine but if I make the colours cycle it sounds like an old hard drive.
