Confusion about memory

Hey all

I am confused about which ram I can put in my Laptop. According to my manual supports the PC3-10600 and max PC3-10700 But I could throw PC3-12800 in it?? What would happen if I put PC3-12800 in it, but would i work or?

yes it will work if its the same voltage than the one supported by the motheboard, the only thing is that the RAM will run at the maximum speed supported by the motherboard no the maximum of the RAM stick.

with me whoever, ahead who can

The Ram would still work, it would just be limited to either 10600 or 10700.

I agree with above statement. RAM would work fine but be limited to the maximum speed of the motherboard

I haven't seen any mention either way but just remember - desktop RAM and laptop RAM are not the same.
