My touch typing journey

Hey guys its me, i'm sure most people dont remember me aha but a few months back i started learing how to touch type (without looking at the keyboard) and im fairly proud of myself as i didnt expect anything to come out of it but something did! heres my progress on the website called keybr... i learned how to type completely off this site, no really expensive college classes or some crap :P.

First couple of months: https://gyazo.com/04767d991cab4a74ed8bcc1ab793f917 / https://gyazo.com/45281ce6bc5f2bb428f1564998f8cbd0

Alltogether it took me 7 months to get to where i am now, i know it took me a long time but to be honest if i practiced more than just every few weeks i could of gotten it faster but hey hey every person is different :P

What's touch typing? xD

personally I learned how to type fast in grade 3 and in grade 4 I've learned how to type faster and without looking

3 years later and I'm typing faster with less mistakes. ~90wpm.

how I type is not by using the rows and stuff, I use one hand for wasd and the other on jkl:'. I just type like that.

Also so in grade 6 I learned how to type on my phone really fast and I learned how to type without looking, which is hard on an iPhone 4, then I got a + and it was way easier

Ryzen 5 3600 stock | 2x16GB C13 3200MHz (AFR) | GTX 760 (Sold the VII)| ASUS Prime X570-P | 6TB WD Gold (128MB Cache, 2017)

Samsung 850 EVO 240 GB

138 is a good number.

Well that certainly is a big improvement.  That speed will continue to increase naturally with practice.  It can be hard, but try to prioritize accuracy over speed.  If you do that you will be better off in the end, as both will get where you want them :)

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

My touch typing journey involves me just using my PC that I built back in summer 2014 (with upgrades in 2016) and typing a lot :P. I'm in a bad situation tho...the keyboards at school and my laptop is UK layout while my Razer blackwidow 2013 with cherry blues has a US layout so if I'm not using my blackwidow then I make a metric ass ton  of mistakes :/

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

My Dad made sure that me my brother and my sister all knew how to touch type from a very young age as he works in IT and saw it as a valuable skill to have. Congrats on your newly acquired skill and joining the #touchtypingmasterrace

Here is a fun site you can go on to increase accuracy and speed of typing http://play.typeracer.com/
