BSOD

So I have the 0x00007e issue and I disconnected everything except mobo, cpu, 1 stick of ram, boot drive, power supply, and the front panel power and stuff. What is causing this to do that? Driver issues?

Get the dump file from Windows event Viewer and post for us to see.

Have you tried booting into safe-mode?

See if you can't disable your USB3.0 ports in the bios and try again I suppose.

No usb settings so far. I have the Gigabyte b85m-ds3h-a

Disconnect the front panel USB3 headers from your motherboard.

if you have everything disabled and all USB headers disconnected from the motherboard.. I am afraid you might need to reinstall Windows..

nah i got it. i was somehow able to finally get into safe mode with networking and downloaded the usb3.0 driver

To be fair, this isn't my manual to read, bud.

 

Look under Bios Features and Peripherals.

 

There's the USB support settings in Bios Features, and XCHI support in Peripherals.
