PC Bottleneck Question

Go to solution Solved by J4P!0N,

no

Not all games are equal.

Depends on resolution played and the multi-thread-abilities of the game engine.

Be more specific about detail settings/resolution/games played...

Just because it's what you wanna hear, doesn't make it true.

i used to run a 4.6ghz FX-8350 with a GTX 780 and the CPU was choking the card in many games.

GTX 1070 is nearly 3 times stronger than my old overclocked GTX 780...i HIGHLY doubt the extra 300mhz would save it's ass,

of course you're looking at a major CPU bottleneck...the 1070 is as fast as my overclocked 980ti...come on.

AMD FX is going on it's 6th year now...what do you expect.

Yeah there isn't a point to buying a $700 dollar card (or any GPU past a certain tier), when it's ONLY going to be used to a point where it performs like something much less due to dropped GPU usage by having a weak system to put it in.

Any GPU thats limited would be annoying as fk for gaming (aka, your needs/expectations were not met)
