Is anyone sick of hackers yet? I mean LinusTechTips kind of got hacked, but poodlecorp didn't really access much at all. But still this is so annoying. Frickin Leafyishere and LinusTechTips got hacked. I seriously want them gone forever, and ever, and ever...

Asking for hackers to disappear is like saying that U.S. politics make sense. Never going to happen

I believe NASA's twitter got hacked again the other day just like Linus' but with a different name.

Just for general info... They changed the LTT Forum's DNS address, they didn't touch the website or the servers they were on.

 

Linus discussed this in the thread located here...

 

But yea, I hate hackers, they cause nothing but trouble.

Unfortunately, hackers (even blackhatters to some extent) actually do more good than bad. When whitehatters hack things, they do it for the sole intent of confidential improvement of security (or a paycheck, whatever). When blackhatters do it they force security improvements by saying "Hey!! If you don't fix this security hole, we're going to come, and we're going to F*** you again and again, like we just did". Ultimately, the only real reason that the internet keeps improving (in terms of security) is because of hackers who get caught, or hackers whose job it is to find security holes and tell the devs privately and confidentially.
