I've decided that custom sleeved cables is really what my machine needs. I'd really prefer to do this myself, rather than buy extensions. So to do this right and not fry my rig, I have a few questions for you guys.

Question 1: If I were to make these from scratch... does anyone have a link to the pin layout for all of the different connectors? If it matters, my PSU is a Corsair AX1200i and my MoBo is the Asus Z170 Deluxe

Question 2: If making my own is too risky, can I use the cables from my AX860? I'd really prefer not to modify the cables that came with my AX1200i

Question 3: I noticed that my GPU cables have that hideous splitter 8-pin thing. Would performance differ on my 980ti Gigabyte G1 if I just made two separate 8-pin cables?

Question 4: Teleios VS Parachord?

Question 5: Is heatshrink necessary? Does the sleeve melt come out better using heatshrink, or can I just use my fingers?

Question 6: Where do you get your sleeving supplies? I'm considering MainFrame Customs.

Thanks in advance guys

Yeah... Looks like a huge pain, but doable. Copying the cables for the AX1200i would mean cutting the sleeving off to copy it. And that's what I'm trying to avoid. If I were just to use the ones from the AX860 would that work? Or fry something?

Here if your interested I have a guide here, Modding FAQ, under Sleeving that has more details on all of that, as for supplies and tools I've used Icemodz before with great results.
