bf3 troubles

catzambia

Hi everyone. So I was playing Battlefield 3 and I got an error message- DirectX function "GetDeviceRemovedReason" failed with FXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG: Device hung due to badly formed commands.. GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460", Driver: 36839

I'm a total noob so I'm not sure what this means. As it says I am on the latest driver and I also have my gpu overclocked. So what's up with that error? It's happened multiple times now, and I don't know what it means. plz help ty.

it means your drivers crashed, which means the overclock isnt stable, turn it down a bit.

update, I'm at stock clocks now and it happens on startup. I'll try rebooting.

could also be a bad driver. but if its happening on start up you may have messed your gpu up overclocking it, my friend messed his 660 overclocking it too much.

OK, I had to go somewhere, but after reboot and running a lesser overclock, it has started up okay, will update if it keeps happening.
