HDD or External Hard Drive

Should I get an HDD or just get an external USB Hard Drive? Is there one better than another or are they basically the same?

If its external its separate, and has to be visible somewhere, which I really dislike. An internal HDD is a part of the PC and moves with it, I really prefer that and its what I would recommend. External HDD is probably slower speed wise too.

I don't understand why you would need an external HDD

 

I think internal ones have higher capacities as well, could be wrong

you're usually just paying more for external drives, and they're the exact same

I gave up on external mechanical drivers a long while back once pen drives got a good capacity.
