[SOLVED] Driver Problems with new gtx 1070

I just installed a new gtx 1070, turned the computer on, and then tried to download the drivers. But when I try to intall the driver it gives me the message that I don't have the right operating system, although I'm very sure it is the right one (win 10, 64 bit).

I was searching around a bit, saw in MSI afterburner that my pc is still running the intergrated graphics of my cpu intead of my gpu. I tried to change that, but then I couldn't access the intel HD graphics control panel.

Somebody help! xD

Nvidia drivers are shit atm. All you can do is try to download the driver without GFE and install it manually.

Try GFE then.

to disable the Intel graphics you into the BIOS; use the mobo's manual to identify the exact menu and submenu

use DDU, in safe mode, to nuke all existing graphics drivers: http://www.wagnardmobile.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=273&sid=2a5508c6f38adf6f0117cddee5a9d417

Okay, ran the program, Nvidia stil gives the same error. What did change though is the gpu it is using. It now uses the microsoft basic display adapter (and ofcourse the driver for the intergrated graphics is gone). How to proceed now???

I've fixed it guys. The problem was that I hadn't updated to the new windows update, so the driver didn't recognize my operating system and started saying it didn't work. Now I updated it, and it works perfectly. Thank you all for the help!

It has never been used as X86-32. When people say x86 they refer to 64-bit software and have done so for close to a decade now.

If we were to be 100% factual correct then x86 is used for 16-bit, 32-bit and 64-bit, but with the under titles of x86-16, x86-32, x86-64.

I like 8-bit...

I once explained to my girlfriend what true love is. I said, "If you were a shit, I'd put you back in" and to this day, she is still my little shit.

That is debatable but in my experience they don't. X86 is used for mostly 32 bit, dated back to xxx86 Intel CPUs or if you want from i386, while 64 is called x64. Most simple, same how you have Program Files for 64 bit and Program Files (x86) for 32 bit programs.

The ability to google properly is a skill of its own.
