Got a cheap lga1155 motherboard so I got it from Ebay but when it came and I changed the cpu there is around a few (2 or 3) pins that looks a bit bent. I am wondering then as I am waiting for the PSU do you think this will work still. If it does not then I will get a refund from him/her. As he said in the description all working fine which I do hope it does.

Thanks

I don't know to much about sockets being broken, but i'd recommend taking a picture so other people on this fourm can help.

I am a bit of a expert here on this (only a little) and if they can be bent back they should work fine, but try returning it first

From your comment is sounds like there was a CPU already in the socket is that correct? (So you bought a motherboard and CPU combo?) If that is the case I think there is a good chance it will work if the old CPU was working.

If this is not the case, then is really depends on how bent the pins are. You could try to get a refund and or you could try a repair it your self. I have done a few with a magnifier goggles and a pin.
