H100i lifespan

How long will a H100i last if I was to use it with a 6700k for 12 hours a day?

Hard to tell. I've been told the life expectency of the pump is about 2 years. It varies upon condition. I have an original Corsair H100 and it still works. Albeit the pump rattles but it still functions.

well the rating of the AIO is for 5years (43800hrs), and by your usage(21900hrs), seems about 10years.

the warranty corsair has is for 5years.

i still have one of the original h100 with almost 6yrs of usage.

I know people generally discourage necroposting, but passage of time is relevant here lol.  Just wanted to say if anyone is perhaps looking at eBay or something at a cheap AIO cooler and see an h100i and are wondering about longevity, I bought mine six years ago this September and it is still working good.  My temps are currently averaging 34 while idling and hit a max of 51 when running a CPU testing program.

I did have to replace fans once; one of them developed a hum which drove me nuts and I replaced both just figuring may as well so they are both the same level of newness.  Made it whisper quiet again.

What are your specs,?

I've been using computers since around 1978, started learning programming in 1980 on Apple IIs, started learning about hardware in 1990, ran a BBS from 1990-95, built my first Windows PC around 2000, taught myself malware removal starting in 2005 (also learned on Bleeping Computer), learned web dev starting in 2017, and I think I can fill a thimble with all that knowledge. 😉 I'm not an expert, which is why I keep investigating the answers that others give to try and improve my knowledge, so feel free to double-check the advice I give.

My phone's auto-correct is named Otto Rong.🤪😂

Purchased this in September 2015. 1 fan began to rattle in 2022 so I replaced it, 3 months later the second fan began to rattle so I replaced that. In 2023 I redid the thermal paste. Now, 8 years and 4 months since purchase I'm seeing very high temps on the cpu ( 50c idle, 95c on twitch) , just checked and the pump has died. One tube it glowing hot while the other is significantly cooler also no vibration coming from the pump at "extreme cooling" mode. It was cooling an i7 4790k.
