Hey! I'm new here so I don't really know if this even belongs in here but I'd like some further input on my next phone choice. :)

So currently I'm using a Galaxy Note 4 because the company I got my phone from only sells either Samsung, Nokia, Huawei or some weird phone from Cat (wtf? I got socks from them on o.O)
My dream phone one year ago (when I got the Note 4) would have been an LG G4 for various reasons. Some of them are really picky but I still value them hugely.:)
One of them is the headphone jack on the bottom. I tend to slide in my phone top side down because it's just the way I feel most comfortable in turning my wrist when sliding it out.
Another one would be the use of micro SD cards. I don't even want to bother using any kind of cloud to be able to store my 2000+ tracks to be able to still install plenty of apps and games on it. 16GB internal and 32GB external is my go now and I still got plenty of space to download tracks, hour-long mixes etc. I also really value the ability to playback tracks even when my WiFi or overall connection is out, something that happens to me way more often than I wish to experience. :|
While I'd be willing to sacrifice one or both of those things for a really good phone like for example (having seen the review) the OnePlus Three, I can be fairly certain that barely any company in Germany would make any sorts of contract with those phones, if they do, feel free to correct me (on that note Hallo deutschsprachige). :P
But overall I'd really like any sorts of input that you guys have or maybe you can even convince me to any phone I didn't really wanted to get at first *cough*NewerSamsungPhones*cough* and Phones that'll come out until September can work as well, since the exact date I'd get a new phone would be September 21st.
On that note, I'd really love all input, wether criticising or something else, even in terms of grammar and language. :D

Greetings from Germoney
 ~Endevie

Samsung Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge...

Water resistance out of the box and it's actually a pretty good phone, and the headphone jack is on the bottom.

Or you can get the iPhone 7 when it comes out *cough cough* Don't *cough cough*

I actually stopped caring about Samsung once they started giving their phones the iPhone 4 treatment. I don't like the Glass on the back, haven't even been a fan of this on the iPhone 4, and I don't really like iOS for my phone as I really like the ability to let Android look the way you want it to. I would however buy an iPad because as for what I've experienced, those tend to run better than other tablets. But then again, the most expensive Android tablet I've used is my Nexus 7

dbrand.com or slickwraps.com

OR get a case.

You could also get the Nexus 6P or wait for the new Nexus/Nexuses/Nexii to become available.

Also the Huawei P9 seems like a great phone, the added monochromatic sensor should add some extra features that would be great.

I am pretty happy with my Note 4 as well, though I lost the first stylus and somehow the second one broke in half. As for the LG G5, the new design and the Volume buttons on the side really ruined it for me, those were some of the points I loved about the G series so I was pretty disappointed.

I don't really like cases, I usually even play around with them OR any foliage etc, basically anything that sticks to the phone until it breaks or is rendered useless, lol. Bad habit of mine, even my gf gets p!ssed about that, haha :D

As for the Nexus 6P, I've been a bit sceptical in terms of looks, but I also recently thought about the Huawei P9, I like the back facing Fingerprint sensor, but then, that bar at the top seems a bit weird to me. what's with all those weird glossy bars at the top and bottom of phones these days? >:(

DBrand skins can cover the glass bar. The reason the glass bar is there is for the sensors that are jammed from the metal body.

I decided to be nice and translate to German \/

DBrand Häute können die Glasleisteabzudecken. Der Grund, warum die Glasleisteist, gibt es für die Sensoren , die aus dem Metallkörper eingeklemmt werden.

Well, that was a good laugh right there xDxD

You can keep writing in english, I'm learning it for a reason ^-^

As for that DBrand stuff, I'm also a bit sceptical about getting things from overseas because they might get stuck in checking them at the delivery. But if they offer shipping to germany for less than a few bucks I think that I'll really get a skin then, I don't know yet.

All I will say is that in my opinion (IMO) either black and blue carbon fiber or black leather look good on about anything... but that's personal preference.

I tend to stick to black and blue anyways, haha
I mean, if you could see me you'd see why :D

It's really your decision.

I'm just jealous because I live in the USA and the P9 doesn't have the LTE bands to work with my carrier.

Well, I still have to see if any carrier here is able to give me a good offer for a new number and a phone, I'm defo not staying at my current carrier, I mean I can't even sit straight with my phone sitting at my desk not being touched for five minutes without it losing connection ten freaking times >:( Even with my S4 back then this was the case and when I had my s4 I was living like 15 minutes away from one of these huge antennas.

what's the difference between theP9 and the P9 plus tho?

The P9 and the P9 Plus are almost identical aside from a couple of differences. The P9 is smaller, lighter and has a sharper display but it has less RAM and storage in its standard model and a smaller battery.

The P9 Plus offers a larger screen with pressure sensors, a bigger battery, more RAM as standard and it offers AF on its front facing camera, as well as stereo speakers.

but the p9 is cheaper

money is not the issue, I'll be getting it via carrier, what I'm more interested in is performance and especially storage capabilities. Thanks for the info tho :)

Would also say S7 (edge). Touchwiz Changed a LOT compared to the Note 4 / S5 series. Just try it out.

And hardware is a beast... Very efficient CPU, best camera, best display, fast UFS 2.0 storage.

Otherwise, take a look into the Oneplus 3 (slight worse display, slight worse camera (in low light),and slight less battery Life.

Other than that, quite flaggshippish ;D

Or HTC 10 (which i find too expensive, since the S7 is better and 100€ cheaper)

P9 plus isnt really worth it. 4gb ram instead 3gb, and a useless pressure-sensitive display for 200 bucks more.. nah.

How about the OnePlus series of phones do you like them?

Yes, I would also get a OnePlus phone but no carrier in Germany provides them.

I still don't like the glass thing Samsung has had going on and either way I want to move away from Samsung. As for TouchWiz, I use a different Launcher either way so the Home Screen does not bother me. And I'm not really an HTC guy. As for te P9 plus, I agree, the pressure thing is useless but that extra GB of Ram might be useful for me, also I think thst it has a bigger battery.
