The problem with extenders/boosters is that they inherently make your network experience worse.

 

They are taking up a line of communication with your existing wireless network (another mouth to feed).

They rarely improve throughput.

They increase latency.

They are an additional point of failure.

 


While not in your immediate budget, you're better off taking a difference course of action-

>>Buy a WAP or stronger wireless router

>>>Run a physical network connection to your device or a location that better suits your wireless router

>>Invest in MOCA if your infrastructure supports it
